Escalera is a four piece acoustic / indie / soul oriented band that consists of Danny Way on guitar, Ananda Moorman on vocals / guitar, Trevor Christ on bass and Bob Burnquist on percussion. Currently in the studio working on their first demo, Escalera has also been rehearsing their live set and plan to start gigging sometime in the late Fall. "We all wanted to be playing out live awhile ago", says Ananda, "but with everybody's crazy schedule it has been challenging to practice on a regular basis. But with the tracks we have been working on in the studio it has become clear to all of us that we're onto something, so all of us have been making it a priority. At the end of the day, we all play music because it feels good.... kind of like medicating yourself... . We are just trying to focus and enjoy the process of writing good songs collectively as a band."
